ACOTE Accreditation

AOTA is proud of its 85-year history of accrediting occupational therapy educational programs. AOTA’s current accrediting body, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE®), accredits approximately 275 occupational therapy and occupational therapy assistant educational programs. ACOTE is an active member of the Association of Specialized and Professional Accreditors (ASPA) and is recognized and fully compliant with all requirements of both the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
